New Projects

Currently, I'm attempting to tidy up an academic paper on the daikaiju eiga tradition. It was originally written for, and delivered at, Swancon 30's academic stream. Title: "Man and Super-Monster: The Metaphorical Undercurrents of Daikaiju Eiga as an Expression of Sensory Apocalypse". I'm not sure what I'll do with it when it's finished...

A horror novel under the working title Dead Matter. Yes, it's a zombie story... sort of. I've been working on this for years, but keep getting distracted by paying contracts. However, I'm determined to complete it by the end of 2002. [Ummm, make that "by the end of 2005"] You will be kept informed.

Well, that's what I wrote last year. But 2003 is here and I still haven't finished the thing! Watch the skies! (Or in this case, the ground!)

Hmmm. Now it's 2004. Still going!

2005! No end is sight. Last year was too busy with the Daikaiju! anthology!

A strange and complex SF novel that I can't really describe and which has several names, including "Love, Death and the Robot Wars", "Spiderweb", "Spider Wars", and "That Cyberpunk Thing".

Giant Monster anthology

I am currently editing an anthology with Robin Pen. It is called Daikaiju! and will feature original stories about giant monsters. It is scheduled for publication in 2005 from Agog! Press. You can check out the guidelines at www.roberthood.net/daikaiju-antho/

Surfing the Wyrd

This is my current major project -- a new fantasy epic set in the same world as Valarl Undead: Fragments, but at an earlier time.
